Activities for Clans and Societies

Honored Clan The Honored Clan for 2015 is Menzies.

Parade of the Clans and Societies  Show off your Clan or Society tartan and banners in the Open Ceremony Parade—even Clan Woof-Woof joins in!

At about 11:45am the Drum Major will lead the pipe band through the Clan Village. Gather your fellow clansmen and follow the pipes and drums onto the field for the Opening Ceremony.

Best Clan Tent Each year a Festival Dignitary selects the Best Clan tent and the clan receives a most coveted prize. Will your clan tent be the Best?

First-Time Tent If this is your first time convening at our festival, please let us know. We are available to help.

Clan without a Tent? Perhaps your clan is just getting started and does not yet have a tent and people to support convening. No worries! We have a designated tent with tables and chairs just for you and others like you to share. Just let us know if you are interested.

The festival will feature various types of music. Performing on the Main Pub Stage are Rathkeltair, Empty Flask, Kilmaine Saints, and Dublin 5. Again this year we will feature the Harp Acoustic Stage which features traditional Celtic music and where an afternoon session will be held. Come hear Craggy Island , Céol Anam Cara, Dileab Phriseil, Tanzania Ceili Band, and

Wild Irish Roses, and others.

I know clans have talented members. Here’s a chance to demonstrate those talents, have a chance to perform, stir up some good hearted clan competition, and support the festival. To organize and arrange performance times for this session, time permitting, please contact our entertainment chair, Joe Wiggington directly at if you are interested.

Sponsor a Trophy: Please consider sponsoring a trophy for the Athletic competition. If you are interested please note the event you wish to sponsor and add the fee to your total. We really could use some help here.
